DONATE

By supporting my campaign, you are also supporting open and transparent city government, responsible progress, homeowners’ rights, small business development, and privacy rights for all. Your donation will help me carry residents’ voices to public meetings, and help citizens of Doraville take an active part in their own city government.

Meet Angie

I have been a Doraville resident since 2013. You may have seen me fostering animals for Lifeline Animal Project, helping neighbors care for community cats, singing and playing music at the Doraville 150th celebration and at the Merely Players Theater, cleaning up creek beds with Peachtree Creek Greenway Riverkeepers, or attending a Doraville Art or Northwoods Area Neighborhood Association meeting.

I have built a career around service to others. I am a paralegal with 16 years of experience, working closely with people who were injured in auto accidents or at work, helping them receive compensation for their pain, and negotiating lower costs on their medical bills.

MY COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION:

  • Champion of Animal Welfare Initiatives

  • Member, Northwoods Area Neighborhood Association

  • Participant, Peachtree Creek Greenway / Rivers Alive Creek Bed Cleanup

  • Musical Performer, Doraville 150th Anniversary Celebration, Merely Players Presents Theater

  • Participant, Doraville Art

  • Steward, Doraville Community Garden (sign  painting, planting, promotion)

MY POSITIONS:

I am running for Doraville City Council because I believe strongly in a city government that is open and transparent. Major issues that affect residents’ day to day lives should be brought to the community before being brought to a vote.

I believe every resident’s voice matters, and that the job of an elected official in Doraville is to seek out those voices, listen to residents, understand their needs, take their concerns to public meetings and make decisions accordingly.

I believe that elected officials serve as representatives of their constituency, and that democracy is the key to ensuring that the voices of the people are heard and respected with regard to all official decisions affecting them.

I strongly support citizen participation in government, and I support any initiative that will encourage and empower my constituents to take an active part in the conversation.

I SUPPORT:

  • Seeking Input from the Community Before Council Votes on Major Issues

  • Open and Transparent City Government

  • Homeowners’ Rights

  • Privacy Rights: Revisit the City’s Flock Camera Contract

  • Progress that Strengthens Our Community While Supporting and Preserving Our Small Businesses

  • Community Partnership With Code Enforcement

A MESSAGE FROM ANGIE

Transparency for Doraville

As your Doraville City Council candidate, I am committed to open government and the protection of homeowner rights. We must ensure that every decision is made with the community's best interests at heart. By listening to residents, City Council members can ensure that Doraville's progress aligns with the wants and needs of the Community.
